PARTNER Action Plans.Once your community has decided on the walking and/or bicycling improvements they want to make, it's time to work with local leadership to pursue funding to implement that change. See action plans communities already developed using the PARTNER Program and learn about opportunities for funding.

Developing Active Transportation Action PlansThe PARTNER team is working with coalitions in 13 Alabama communities with some of the highest obesity rates in the country to promote walking and cycling. Through the PARTNER Program, each community has drafted their own Active Transportation Action Plans with short, medium, and long term projects to improve walking and cycling safety and mobility within their community! These plans are very helpful to communicate your prioritized list of improvement projects with the benefits/goals of each.
The following communities have complete Action Plans: Seeking Opportunities for FundingFinding funding to build walking and cycling safety and mobility improvements can be challenging. We will be hosting a workshop in Fall 2022 about funding opportunities for communities. Contact us for more information. After this workshop, we will provide factsheets on local, state department of transportation, and federal funding.
