No matter your community's experience with walking and cycling, we have resource tools to help.  Use these tools to help your community (a) learn about active travel, (b) focus attention on critical areas, (c) select your favorite improvements and (d) work with local leadership to pursue funding to implement change.

Summary: Use this tool to help evaluate your roadway environments' waking and bicycling safety and mobility.  This tool provides an easy to implement scoring system for rural communities to generate data to characterize roadways - an important task for comparing improvements and seeking funding.

Resource: Active Routes Visualization (ARV) Tool

Summary: Use this tool to identify potential routes within your community to support walking and bicycling to everyday destinations.  This tool runs in ArcGIS software to create a specific map of recommendations for your community based on your unique inputs.
